Maila (the little girl) is 5 yrs. old at the time of the race; she has been literally watching Alexandre from the start to the finish of this 3-day gruelling event around the entire circumference of the big island ... Your interpretation of her emotion captured at the finish line is as good as anyone else. At the very least, she is overwhelmed by the clamour of the reception given to her father, the all-time winningest ultraman to date. Again mahalo for watching. J

  • I am wondering what the little daughter is feeling in the scene at the finish line

    where she is obviously upset about something.

  • O brasileiro Alexandre Ribeiro tem quase 30 'Ironmans' no currículo, sendo 13 mundiais só no Havaí. Pertence a ele até hoje o recorde brasileiro no Mundial de IROMAN, com 8h 49m, conquistado em 1993. Foi incluído também no 'Guinness-O Livro dos Recordes' (Editora Três -1994).

  • Para quem pensa que as distâncias e tempos de uma prova de IROMAN é ‘coisa de maluco’, vale lembrar que a distância de um ULTRAMAN é mais que o dobro de um Iroman! Essa prova é realizada todos os anos na ilha de Kona no Havaí e é considerado o maior triathlon do planeta!
