For an improv this was awesome. Yes, I'm curious about what she said that got some people upset but that was over 2-years ago and in the past. I'm curious about what she is doing now. I hope dancing. In this video she's a beautiful young girl with a beautiful dancer's body. BTW I came to this video because of the title "Lost". I thought it was the song by the Dutch singer Anouk. The dance was beautiful so watch it.

Hi Mrs. Fuddy - this is Kate's mother. I would never post a comment on You Tube but since you are also a dancer's mother -I felt I had to. Kate didn't know she had fans - she's just a kid who loves to dance. She also is really uncomfortable talking into a microphone, had (and still has) a tendon injury, and just found out her grandfather was going to die the day before that competition. Give her a break. The injury/improv story helps explain her comments to the emcee when she received her award. Just goes to show the benefit that a few minutes of media coaching might have provided. Kate is a fabulous dancer - no denying that. Sadly, a few seconds of talking without thinking cost her quite a few fans.

what? i don't think anyone thinks any less of her because she had an injury and improvised a solo, then won first overall. it just goes to show she's an AMAZING improvisationalist.
