Tun Dato Seri Utama Dr Lim Chong Eu's journey from home to Dewan Sri Pinang where he will lie in state until Sunday.

Throngs of people pay their last respects. Some of these are people whose lives have been touched by Tun Lim when he was the second Chief Minister of Penang. These senior citizens were sombre, teary and many stayed near the casket as they were reluctant to leave.

Leaders from DAP, MCA, Gerakan and UMNO also paid their last respect.

  • Rest in Peace Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu from Phoenix, Arizona. Met the man many years ago, very personable.

Chen Lim or Chen Yao, if you see this, would like to keep in touch.

  • @703951 whether is a muslim anot everyone are free to pay respect. So if u dont respect the dead people just keep your mouth shut.Even the prime minister are there to pay respect. So the pm also will kena hukum islam. We receive condolence comments but not comments to be bring up as an argumentative sentence or any other races facts.Hence all the religion in this world are just the same.As long is does not harm anyone what we do is good enough.Which i think merempit is in hukum islam also ?

  • You kalau tak tahu hukum Islam you jg cakap... i guest you bukan Muslim.. so pls keep quite or apologies to what you had said... i commented to Muslim ppl not to other races... so bear in mind.. nanti tak pasal-pasal you kena nanti.

  • 愿敦林一路好走
