619,000 Miles And Counting On A Ford Mustang

Ive owned my 1971 Ford Mustang since it was brand new. I now have 619,484 miles on the car. Every mile and every drop of fuel has been logged. Very close to original. Ive done all of the maintenance and repairs, including engine rebuilding. I think it might make it another 300,000 or 400,000 miles, which would make it 1,000,000 miles total. Weve always been a Ford family, and I think Ford makes the best cars.

Great story about a man who cares for his car like I do. I have had two Mustangs and wish I had the resources at that time to keep them. I now have a 2003 Mercury Marauder and like him I will keep this one until they put me in the grave. Built "Ford Tough"!

i love fords also my old 94 f-150 has the famous 300-6 . hes got 309,214 miles and i drive him daily . its paid for and gets me there looking kinda ruff tho now getting a little rusty but i will drive it til it just cant go anymore.

my uncles 90 Lx. 302 has 329,xxx miles on it lol he drives it everyday. baight it brand new in 1990,my inherited 66 mustang has 428,xxx miles on it. grandpa baught it for 50$

I, too, am a Ford man. I've owned cars made by all 3 American manufactures, but I like Ford's the best. I like the way the doors close, the way the switch gear feels

just the way that they are put together. The highest mileage that I have put on a car is my 1997 Ford Thunderbird with the 4.6 liter V-8. It has just shy of 169,000 on her. Most service work has been performer at my local Ford dealership where the car was purchased new. $19.95 for an oil change; I love this car.
