Russia Tests Long-Range Missile

Russian president Dimity Medvedev attended the launch of a long-range Topol missile on the northeast coast of Siberia. Medvedev says he intends to do more testings and to build new weapons.

STORY:
Testing their military might, Russia launched its Topol long range missile. The test was conducted to see how the missile would perform after its operational life had been extended. It is designed to penetrate anti-missile defense systems like the ones the U.S is planning to build in Eastern Europe.
The Kremlin remains opposed to Washington's intentions.

Russian president Dimitry Medvedev attended the test, hinting at plans to increase their arsenal.

[Dmitry Medvedev, Russian President]:
"We will continue to commission new types of weapons but we will also continue testing the ones we have now. Their effectiveness has been proved by time. Our shield is fine. Thanks for your service."

Since taking power from Putin, Medvedev has beefed up Russia's armed forces after its 5-day conflict with Georgia, which irked the U.S and the European Union.

The Russian navy also reported that it successfully tested two ballistic missiles from the Pacific Ocean and Barents Sea to targets inside Russia.

Russia has 11,000 nuclear warheads.

It would be very funny if someone started condemning us for building missiles.

It is more so funny that we are condemned for mobilizing defences on our borders, when the United States is planting missile defence systems next door.

There are fingers being pointed in our direction by the west, but Russia is too powerful to be threatened.

How the fuck come no one tells Russia: "Oh no you can't do that! If you do it again we're going to do this or that to you." But when any other country does it they make a huge hullabaloo about it and threat them. Everyone has the right to defend themselves against unprovoked pre-empt strike.

@osara4love1 The way politics work in America would make it impossible to take over the world. We wouldn't be able to get enough people to agree with it even if we wanted to.

The only reason the US military has bases in Europe and Asia is because we have allies there and because of our strength, they expect us to protect them.

And I'm pretty sure EVERYONE is against American domination of the whole world. That's why it's not going to happen. Don't sweat it.

Russia is now doing the same as I believed that The nuclear yellow cakes or call them war heads are now been shipped to iran.

I always wondered that why should iran build nuclear reactors for war heads, it is even easy to buy from russia and china.

I respect the Russians a lot more than the North Koreans or Chinese. Russia is a smart cookie of a nation, and a hell of a good competitor. The way they sell out on the black market to almost any nation who can help them hinder the US makes them a shadow, but ever constant antagonist.

The motivation of North Korea is obvious, and China is a little more evident... but I'm not too sure about Russia... do they still want to win that old rivalry?
