http://www.ecofilms.com.au Intensive aquaculture fish farming with a hydroponics component at Green Sky Growers in Florida. Here tilapia are grown using high protein fish food and liquid oxygen to grow 1 lb of fish per 1 gallon of water. Please don't try this at home as one small failure will destroy your entire output of fish. Read our blog for further information at ecofilms.com.au

  • Thank you to the old man asking the hard questions in the background. You sir, have made me very rich.

  • Thats is an impressive system. I've heard about it, now I need to come out there to see it for myself. Great job.

  • LOL, nice pot front.

  • @ddnguyen278 Yes, it is a commercial set up and my original comment was made about that, and it reminds me of over packed chicken pens, where the chickens don't get to walk or run or have any kind of activity. They are just fed to grow AFAP and go on the table.

THis is an excellent video with insight into a lot of finer points of doing AP though

  • @saeidmomtahan This is a commercial production facility which has to compete with "conventional" methods.. They are as organic as u can get using the latest technology. Now if u wanted to do this at home I doubt u would need an O2 injector or mircofilter..

  • @dramey03 they sell it for almost $300 so not so simple hah!

  • @dalecalder2003 They purge the fish to cleanse internal toxins. It's just like if you went on a fast for a few days, it would flush out your liver, kidneys, bowels, and some excess fat. It makes it so the fish is at its healthiest just before it is harvested. They only do this with high intensity farms because with lower fish density, the fish are less exposed to other fish wastes.

  • I would want to know a lot more about what's in the feed and why the purge before I would eat it. I live in an area with a lot of salmon farms and trust me farmed salmon is not fit for human consumption.

  • GREAT question interviewer about why do you purge them

  • it would be VERY cool if someone posted a response to this video or if flashtoons did a video showing how the feeder can be made, i love the belt and timer concept, seems very simple and basic and the more simple and more basic, the ebtter
