For everyone's information: the fire was in SE Chouteau County, Montana. It was driven by strong ( 50+ mph ) winds and covered roughly 18,000 to 20,000 acres. It was reported about 2 AM. 60 some firefighters from at least 12 organizations, including BLM and MT state DNRC responded. A Canadian cold front arrived about 6 AM; near freezing temps helped dampen the fire & the mtns were mostly covered in cloud. Fire contained about 10:30 AM. Hot spots in mountain timber were seen the next day.
