Sorry, but Kermode is spot on. DD has barely got two brain cells to rub together, the vocabulary of a lobotomised 5-year old, and is clearly not an actor, but someone who reads lines. He's never been believable in any of his movies, he never 'inhabits' a part or makes it his own, he's just dreadful all around, and one wonders how such a talentless oik ever made it this far.

@tedlgn he mite come across a bit of a knob for sayin it but fuckin hell man hes a pretty good actor and if he was from america and he had the same acting talent he would be on serious money so it must frustrate him to be on the the same money as he could make as van driver or something...im just reading his book i agree he plays up to the london boy think too much at times but most of the people hes worked with love the bloke and he aint up his arse. dyers alrite i rekon
