A MetroNorth train ride through the Hudson River Valley, ending at Beacon on the Hudson Line.
The music is by Aaron Copland, including variations on the Shaker theme "Simple Gifts" an 1848 Shaker song originally composed by Elder Joseph Brackett. The Shakers believed music to be an essential component of the religious experience, and many lived in the Hudson River Valley.
