  • What about good old fashioned helpfulness?

Ok, since this is not a long code, I can share it here (it's on my website too) :

    softsynth.hu/add-on.php?load=kep_megtekintes.popup&kep_file=fm8macro.jpg&kep_id=674&kep_tipus=2&kepmeret=original&kep_szelesseg=653&kep_magassag=757

It is Excel VBA. It's all the help I can give you.

  • @SoftSynthPortal. So you made this video just to show off? Or was it to get some filthy nerd-money? What about good old fashioned helpfulness?

  • hi! It's kinda Excel magic - I wrote some macro that can automate other windows applications - in this case the fm8 standalone application. i INSERTED THE PATH AND THE FILENAMES INTO EXCEL CELLS, AND FROM THEM THE MACRO PASTED THE INFO INTO FM8 IMPORT MENU - ONE BY ONE.

It took some time to develope this little code, so if you want it- I can transfer it to you - if you pay 15$

  • Can you please make a step by step how to do this? How do you get FM8 to automatically open import sysex? Please please help :)

  • Hi! I made this video for those who use the FM8 and suffer from the fact that it can import only one sysex bank at a time. The FM8 is kinda unique software that can almost 100% recreate the sound of several Yamaha hardware fm synths. You mention Nexus and Sylenth - these are not fm synths and can't import these sysex files. I use sylenth a lot and it has beautiful sounds but a real fm synth like fm8 can give another sound palette, different output. Nexus is another nice thingy, i haven't tried..

  • thats very smart, so do you think that i can do this and use sysex files in something like nexus, sylenth, or any other synth?? hope u can get back at me
