Track 8: Sagetellah - The One Who Waits for the Life to Come (Featuring Michael Huang)
Espers by 12 Followers/Meteo Xavier.

And finally we come to the close of the album - an elemental spirit who was once a very proud man that gambled his life away in a fit of anger and hatred. Now he stands at the gates of Heaven, struggling to cope with the aftermath of his decision, and enters only reluctantly in the hopes of some justification. Even in Heaven, with so many bouncing, happy Espers about, he can find no peace and nothing to quench his sorrow. Eternity passes and it's his turn to join the light and be reborn. He asks himself why and what it was all for... and just before he enters the light, he remembers. "It was all for everything..." he says to himself.

Now matter how much you give, how much is wasted, or how much was sacrificed for nothing, you can always wait for the life to come. It is the way of things and it will always be.

His last memory is filled with joy at the life he accomplished and hope for the next life. He enters the light and will someday be reborn.

Piano interpretation and performance by Michael Huang of www.nobuouematsu.com. FFIV fans will know who I'm referencing here. :) This is probably the piece I'm proudest of in my music career so far as it goes a remarkable range to sound like a relaxing, calming, romantic, dramatic, charged, angry, happy and sad and even jazzy piano piece. Michael's performance is what brings it to life and he made those ranges seem effortless! Amazing talent he is, well worth the wait. :)

About the album: Espers is a wildly ambitious, slightly experimental and thoroughly, deliberately arranged and manipulated chill-out album with lots of New Age, Ambient, Progressive and apparently Darkwave sounds and structures in them. Each track is designed to be a completely different experience than the one before and after it; where the soundscapes create sparse melodies and evolve the track instead of it moving until finally culminating to a 10 minute piano solo, performed by Michael Huang of www.nobuouematsu.com, as a stark contrast to the album before it. This album and all the many sounds and motifs and designs were inspired by Peter Gabriel, Motoi Sakuraba, Yasunori Mitsuda, Uematsu, Hiroki Kikuta, Berlin School electronic music, Steve Hackett, Enya, David Arkenstone, NIN, Moby and a lot more. It was released in September 2011 by Lightfall/Aardvark Records.
