The song is about the bittersweet happiness one feels when they can connect with a sad song. Check out the lyrics: "The kick inside is in the line that finally gets to you, and it feels so good to hurt so bad, and suffer just enough to sing the blues". I would say the sound is perfect for the song.

Me too, I'm a metal head but I still listen to the oldies that my mom listens to.. I was raised on the oldies because I wasn't allowed to listen to metal when I was growing up.. My dad said it was the devil's work... LOL .. But my mom had The Eagles (hid in the closet).. My oldest sister introduced me to AC/DC so I've been a metal head ever since...
