It works well guys! And don't worry too much about the sun, as I took it while I was in Africa and never had problems (I'm a fair-skinned and brown hair, if it makes any difference).

been taking doxycycline mono 100 mg once a day for almost 2 months. no side effects. no upset stomach. nothing.

face is totally under control. cheeks slowly healing. only little issue is the bacne - taking longer to heal up. any suggestions? i don't want to do the whole 'prolonged use of antibiotics' which can be bad but i definitely need to keep taking it for it

Ive been doxycycline twice a day + epiduo gel at night for about 5 months now. I have oily skin and I generally JUST get blackheads on the forehead and cheeks. My forehead completely cleared up but my cheeks have only now just started to show signs of clearing. Not sure what I should do. =/ It seems like it'll take forever for my cheeks to clear up.

My doctor prescribed me tetracycline, but I did not want to take it. He switch my medicine to doxycycline. I took the medicine for 3 month and quickly started noticing the result. I've stop taking the medicine and my skin is back to normal - I rarely get acne. In fact, I never did, after taking this medicine. It's has been 3 months now.

DO NOT TAKE ON AN EMPTY STOMACHE!
Eat lots, drink water, and then take it right after you have finished your meal/beverage.

also my derm told me to take it with food, but i read that if you dont take it with food, you will have stomach aches,so far i have been taking it without food,(which some say is more effective), and i dont feel too upset after taking it.....someone pls help.

Never take Doxycycline on an empty stomach. Get full, Have water, and then take it. My bottle said take either an hour before a meal... or 2-3 hours after a meal, which is wrong. I took it (by mistake) on an empty stomach and puked in about 10 minutes. My cousins have done the same and it works for them.
