My God am I 59 already? I must admit I had good times in those years that have past me by. I remember waiting for The Monkees to come on in front of our B&W television set. Had to make sure the rabbit ears were in the correct position. The sit back or stretch out on the living room floor and let the boys take you away for half an hour. Thanks for posting.....Peace

Drop me a line. Liked the idea of using the pliers to change the channel. Remote controls have made such a lazy slug out of me I'd shoot the TV first before I'd do that now!

The Sixties - when we only had three networks and PBS. When children grew up thinking that "The Wizard of OZ" was filmed ENTIRELY in black and white. When all Bobby Sherman had to do was wear leather pants.....yes, these were simpler times. We were fools to let it change.

You made me cry! The Monkees were such a big part of my life.

I remember being at my Mum's work Christmas Party for the kid's and nearly having a nervous breakdown that we wouldn't be home in time for the show! (No Video's or Sky Plus in those far off day's folks!)

and I was definitely going to marry Davy Jones!

Very nice tribute. I wonder if the boys know how much they touched so many lives. I know they touched mine. I have such fond memories of those simpler times. I love their music and hope that they'll soon make it into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. They deserve it.
