The nightly Westbound long distance local freight of CSX Transportation, their train J745 that they run out to serve their leased portion of the former Rock Island between Joliet & Utica Illinois rolls through downtown Tinley Park at 2:36 AM. The train is tiny compared to how this train used to be on a nightly basis, well over 200 cars!! as was its daily Eastbound counterpart J746. The train is seen here running on Metra track, the Metra dispatchers and some CSX personnel refer to these trains as the "borw" [pronounced bore] trains.
Pete, Nice video at Oak Park ave! I get to finally see a CSX train at Tinley Park.

Glad You like it Jeff. I just wish the lighting at the station was better. This train would commonly run over 200 to even over 250 cars per night over 10 years ago or so, but CSX has does not serve as many customers out on their portion of the old Rock Island anymore.

Hi Pete, B&O Rock Island sub west is the borw aka J745 and the B&O Rock Island sub east is the bore aka J746.

Yeah I know they came up with that some time back, I used to hear it more on the radio some years back then now. Occasionally they will run the trains as J945 & J946 if its an extra crew or something I guess and a few years back they ran two additional trains, J963 & J964.
