@MKSchrei We had that when we were little (I'm from England).
It does indeed seem to be strange material for young minds, however, in one of the stories at least a group of children who engage in racial abuse are seized by 'Tall Agrippa' and dunked in an enormous pot of black ink. So perhaps it wasn't all bad!

WOW at 6:06 he is reading the most disturbing "children's book" I've ever read ... "Der Stuwwelpeter, Die Geschichte vom Zappel-Philipp"
That book is sick all the characters are kids who die in horrible ways or are mutilated. Its like the old testament punishments for children.
Maybe it was their inspiration for the extermination camps ... how sick.
No wonder that german childs of that time grew up to become psicos-nazis.
Thanks Zeus the book was prohibited as "pedagogic method"
