Review of my favorite light. I've got lots of flashlights that put out more light but none that get as much use as this one does. Every time I need a "working light" this is the first thing I put on. You can see them here:

This is the review I mentioned a couple of times in the video. Great review with lots of good "real world" specs:

Gear - Not a tactical light, but great for close tool work. The spot does have an ok throw, but nothing like the higher end EDC lights.

Gadget - Very fun device. Kids love them and provide lots of fun uses around the camp fire.

Getaway - First flashlight I'd want in my survival or get away kit. Long battery life, good illumination, and keeps your hands free. Can't ask for much more!

  • bought one... for the upcoming 7 day camping trip. Only light I am bringing so it better perform.

  • If you've never used a headlamp before for camping, you'll never go back.

  • Just got it in the mail. From initial inspection it looks of great quality. Only thing that scares me is taking on and off the battery cover. Light is exeptionally bright on high / boost.

  • yeah be careful with that battery cover. I've never had any issues breaking it, but I could see how that might eventually fail.

  • Use mine, daily for diy and painting/drawimg at night....and for sneaking

  • Got mine years ago, feel naked without it. Outstanding bit of kit.

  • @chardoc89 I have a tikka xp, and I know from personal experience that the battery clips can, and do, break off. Also, you'd think that Petzl stocks spare battery covers for the xp, but they don't. The only thing that they stock that might resurrect my xp is their new "ADAPT" system, but, from the pictures of the ADAPT system, it looks like the tikka xp has to have an intact battery cover to work with it.

  • Betyár jó cucc!IMÁDOM!

  • I've had loads of different ones. In my job we have these mounted on our work helmets. My Tikka xp version is my favourite. Great quality and the battery compartment is easily accessible. I use rechargeable high capacity batteries. I also use o ring grease on the battery compartment seal. I have not had a problem with wet environments or water ingress at all. I've worn it in bad downpours no problem. Pricey but high performer.

  • want a good powerl chepa headlamp go to dealextrme>com

  • excellent reveiw! I thought I might use one for indoor video.

  • "Red light is preferred pilots, sailors, fishermen, and astronomers for its excellent ability to preserve night vision. It is also ideal for signaling. Green light is brighter and is perfect for map reading. Blue for seeing blood.

  • ... and what would you use a filter for? I understand that red one would be for emergencies, but they have blur/green filters. What are those for?

  • 40 lumens on boost!
