@BlitzRyuu After you've thrown two tails, the probability of throwing heads is still (.5) or 50% -> which means you would need (1/.5) that is 2 tries on average to toss a single heads. However, the probability of throwing TTH in that order is .5x.5x.5 = .125 or 12.5%
Which means on average it would take you 8 attempts to succeed in throwing TTH.

@ba3cool so after you've thrown two tails, is the chance of you throwing a heads any higher than before? i think not

At 1:41 he tosses it and it bounces but in the side view it just rolls...?

Here's some simple maths:
Probability of tossing 10 Heads in a row = (0.5)^10 = 0.0009765625 = 0.09765625%
Expected number of tries you would need to get 10 heads in a row = 1/0.0009765625 = 1024.
Therefore, in an ideal world Derren would have needed 1024 attempts in order to succeed.

Not as good as the stuff in the Mindreading Exposed ebook

@789123Y I just wanted to show my friends this bit of the show. So THANKS FOR POSTING THIS SEGMENT!

@ShaneCopseysTV Yeah, now that's dedication, to stand there filming, pretending you're going to get 10 heads in a row every time you start again, for nine freaking hours. Then again, he does say he has an obsessive side, so maybe this wasn't as much of a trial to him as it would have been for you or me...
It is not a fake coin!
He actually tossed the coin about 1000 times, and, filmed for about 9 hours non-stop to catch this 10 times head streak! Then they showed us the last minutes of the video.
This is explained in the actual show.
THUMBS UP SO EVERYONE CAN SEE.
