Samsung pnd7000 full review here: http://hubpages.com/_2u6q5tnzphxu8/hub/Samsung-PND7000-3D-Plasma-HDTV-Review for full review. The Samsung PN51D7000 Plasma 3D HDTV in a word is, AWESOME. 2D and 3D capable the Samsung PN51D7000 series has you in mind. Buy Samsung PND7000 or D8000 Plasmas, is my advice. Plasma screens razor thin like lcd's and led's now. Samsung Plasmas in 2011 are a complete upgrade. They have Smart TV capabilities with the Samsung Smart Hub Apps. You can connect to the internet via ethernet or wifi to use the Samsung Apps. 600hz refrest rate is 2nd to none, which shows action sequences without a hitch. • I just got this tv. Do you need to break in the pixels before normal use, like using a break in dvd? Also, are you using the movie setting in this video?

  • @emg81emg60, congratulations and where did you buy it? Why do you think you need to break in pixels? Yes blu ray is in.. You can also go into picture adjustments and make changes if necessary, plus other modes..

  • @gfunkgfunk, Amazon, plus the freebies...

  • no problem with plasma and gaming.. the processor speed makes sure of no problems with gaming...

  • @samsungd7000

Thanks for the feedback. I lowered my contrast and brightness down to 50% and ran the break in slides from AVS forums for a whole week straight. Then I watched a full screen movie and the burn in seems to be virtually gone now. So I am happy that any IR or burn in the TV does get will eventually go away over time.

  • @Cypherus21 did you check your settings to automatically clear your pixels, which help with the burn image issue?

  • Have you had issues with image retention and screen peeling?

I got a network logo burnt into (about 80% transparency) into the screen. I just watched the news every evening and somehow the logo got burnt in (not image retention). I am not too happy with Samsung's plasma technology as watching network HD TV falls within the parameters of honest and normal TV viewing. Burn in is not covered under warranty. A word of caution to prospective D6500, D6900, and D7000 owners, burn in is still an issue.

  • where did u buy it?
