This is the result of a very strong bee hive that was overtaken by waxmoths. I was able to save just two frames. I grafted some eggs from another hive and was able to successfully rescue the two frames + remaining bees.

  • @ThePenatron Thanks for your comments, but there were other factors that led to the downfall of this hive. You seem like you have experience with bees, but I am quite certain the queen was not smashed.

  • stong hives dont have a problem with wax moths. that is small hive beetles , and strong hives dont get slimed by them either, you prolly smashed your queen with the HSC and they couldnt build a queen cell on it cause its plastic ant they cant chew it
