I grew up in Hopewell Jct, short cut down to the center of town for us was walking down the railroad then walking up through the lumber yard to walk around what seemed like forever to get to the Grand Union - Thank you for sharing the history of Hopewell Jct that my father & Uncles & Aunts grew up in

What a Great "snip-it" of Hopewell History. Being a Hopewell Junction NATIVE I really appreciated listening to Mrs. Dodges' presentation. It really was like listening to my Great Grandmother Lillian Grace deschler Geer talk. My Great Grandfather Oscar Geer worked for the railroad, that Mrs. Doge mentions, and My Aunt Katie recently told me about her going to Bordens Dairy for milk when she was a girl. I Never knew Frankies Store used to be a church.
