Great set 'o tunes, well played! Pachelbel's Frolics is a fave of mine. Seems to often be named and played as a reel, but I understand that it's actually a Scottish hornpipe - Koehler's Hornpipe. Hmmm....maybe should be McKoehler's Hornpipe?? :)

@Ominix301 Hi. Sorry I didn't reply earlier. To be honest, there's no specific good fiddle for beginners. The ones coming out of China are pretty good now and will get you a long way before you'd need to upgrade.

Incredible fiddling and great accompaniment. Been listening to this all afternoon.
One question though, is the Scottish Wedding Reel known with another name? I've heard it before but can't find the tune anywhere?

Hey pinklicker. I asked Matt about the reel, and he said this:
"Aha! It comes from a compilation that i got in the early '90's called Scottish Fiddle tunes. Pretty sure it's no longer in print but you never know....! And that's the only name I know it by and I'm fairly certain that it's quite old, the Irish wedding reel is much more recent and is also called the Madonna reel according to a friend."
Matt's offered to post another version of it; I'd certainly like to learn it!
