this is good information, I like to do 3 or 4 live take straight, I found this is the best way to be creative. Sometimes, I will record 4 takes try something different each time and combine them and sometimes, it comes up with a cool harmony type.

The same can be said for recording Hip Hop vocal verses as well.
I have found that the first couple of takes give some of my artist a chance 2 warm up. Then they give a much more pwerful take around the 3rd or 4th time.
Occasionally someone will be so rehearsed and relaxed when they behind the mic that no warm up is necessary and they nail it the first time. Making my job a lot easier.

@shadowmixx - I am glad you find these tips useful, always record everything just in case you get that bit of magic, in the past I used to wait until they are warmed up and miss recording some lovely relaxed take and would kick myself.
