1992-04 Wedding Reception Discussions

~April 1992 - The wedding reception of Hampton Speakes and Gilly Grant. Ross congratulates Holly for catching the bouquet, but Blake later embarrasses her mother by giving the bouquet to Mindy Lewis. Detective Mallet wants to talk business with D. A. Ross. Holly and Frank try to get Blake to see that she caused her own problems due to her obsession with Alan-Michael. Blake resents Holly's efforts to talk some sense into her. Holly finds Ross at the bar and vents to him about Blake. Ross suggests that maybe Holly is adding to the situation by pressuring Blake to do what she [Holly] thinks is right. Holly thinks Blake needs more guidance than most, to overcome having Roger as a father. Ross thinks Blake needs someone to love her without the lectures. Ross reminds Holly that she's not perfect, bringing up the Acapulco incident (which caused Ross to break his engagement to Holly several years earlier). Ross admits that the memory still hurts him, just as Blake arrives in the doorway to overhear what happened. Holly insists that she's not interested in Roger anymore. Ross admits that while he still needs more time to trust Holly again, he still has feelings for her. Blake has Roger confirm the Acapulco story for her, which Blake decides is more proof that Holly interferes too much in other people's lives. Blake shares her A-M problem with Roger, who vows to fix it for her.
