Very cool! I have 4 lap steels. My newest is the Peavey Power Slide. I highly recommend the Peavey. It's an awesome guitar right out of the box.

tough stuff. good work, most people these days use computers and keyboards because pedal and lap steels feedback too often. im glad someone is doing it the old way.

@ShadyRonin Hard to tell. I haven't tried them all. But you should keep these things in mind: Will the string spacing do for me? - I like it a little wider. Can I string it with fat strings - hard to do on some traditional electrics without turning them into a 'steel' forever. Do I want a humbucker or could I live with a single coil pickup. You are welcome!
