In this clip from www.artistshousemusic.org - Jon Vanhala discusses the digital rights management process and issues with piracy. Jon talks about how his department has used protected copy CD's and other efforts to reduce illicit copying of material. He also examines issues with peer to peer downloading, and how the public view of performance has changed because the more consumers believe they are entitled to free music. Jon believes that there needs to be more awareness raised about issues with illegal downloading.

DRM is useless because you can just burn to cd which take it off
or buy a cd and if people who upload can just get a program to take it
off

I don't like itunes that much because you have to have the work flow for it
and thing like rhapsody I like but the min I stop paying all is lost.
I like Pandora radio because of it bookmark
but the cussing and only little control of what being played or what part is being played I don't like
