Shut down in Australia in May 2010, will Travel Ventures International (TVI Express} continue in less regulatted regions of the world? In the United States, the website seems to be down permanately and it seems that the pyramid style money game is done.

Whie some reports say the owners of TVI Express live in California USA, the company said they were based in the UK, but it was later learned that TVI Express may be based in India with bank accounts in Cypress.

TVI Express members have complained about website problems and travel vouchers that they were not able to use for some time. At the same time outsiders called TVI Express a scam. Those in the United States who were actively promoting TVI Express promply left when the problems became so obvious they could no longer ignore them.

TVI Express had great timeing. They brought the program to the U S at a time when a legitimate travel program called Global Resorts Network had hit a wall and was experiencing slow sales. GRN (Global Resorts Network) sells a travel membership from Gold Crown Resort for about $3000. Sales have been slow with Global Resorts Network for some time. The Gold Crown Resort program seems best suited to those living outside the United States. GRN has faced strong competition from U S based competition that offers access to more resorts and more travel at a lower cost.

Global Resorts Network leaders were hungry for any way they might be able to generate an income since it was no longer coming from trying to push the Gold Crown Resort memberships supplied by Global Resorts Network. Funky compensation plan and red flags or not, many made the leap to TVI Express hoping to turn a quick profit.

Where is TVI Express located and who is behind the travel program? For a legitimate company this information would not be mysterious, but for TVI Express it is. Hoist another red flag for the folks at TVI Express.

Here is what I have been able to gather about this so-called mystery. TVI Express was originally said to be located in the UK (London) and some members say they had visited an office there. Later reports say that the questionable travel opportunity no longer has an office in the UK and as I understand it, the company has not given a plausible explanation for why they left. As a result, we must rely on rumors that say regulators were closing in on TVI Express and as a result they fled to India.

At least one member says they have seen a TVI Express office in India. Actually, they did not see an office with people, but they did submit the picture of a sign. India is well known for an educated labor force that works cheap when compared to American standards. Many major U S businesses like AT&T have customer service lines answered by workers in India. It is not clear if TVI Express actually has a corporate structure in India or if they are just taking advantage of the low labor cost to process vouchers and update websites.

Interestingly enough, reports say that TVI Express does not do their banking in the UK or India. Banking is done in Cypruss. It has not confirmed if Cyprus is the location of some sort of corporate entity or not, but my experience has been that the owners of a company usually like the idea of being in close proximity to their bank.

Speaking of the owners of TVI Express, who are they anyway? Other companies have pictures and bios for their founders and executives posted all over their corporate websites. They are usually happy to share educational information, business experience and even some history of their military service. This is mysteriously missing from the TVI Express website.

Here's where it gets really interesting. Rumors say that the people behind TVI Express are not citizens of the UK. Word has it that they don't reside in Cyprus or India either.
