Should shops stock men's magazines at a height where young children can easily see them, or should they put them higher up?

  • This metro-sexual sexist is a disgrace to men everywhere. As a father I couldn't agree more with you, Liz. If I want to see 'that sort of thing' I know where to go to get it. This is not the sort of thing to have on general display. The lads' mags are a first step and I'd happily welcome non-sexual front covers to all of the newspapers.

It must have been frustrating to have only had 2 mins' worth of discussion, but in my opinion, you easily dismissed his whiny, poorly thought out arguments.

  • Well done Liz, what an idiot that bloke is. When my kids were smaller I would sometimes ask shopkeepers to put particularly offensive lad mags up on a higher shelf (they sometimes did!), or sometimes I just turned the magazines around myself so only the back page showed. Maybe if everyone who thinks it's wrong did the same, more shops would respond?

  • Thanks Liz, I heard this when I was half asleep and it incensed me with rage the whole day, still is now!! Gah. You were great.

  • Overprotective? Busybodies?!! What a prat!
