* question * ?? if I add an extra lens at the focal point, between the object lens and the eye lens, wouldn't that then turn the up-side down object back to its normal view???

@Pedro5109 Oh! .. I Think your wrong .. Galileo indeed did not build the first telescope .. but he is the one who build the first ASTRONOMICAL telescope. The first telescope is not powerful enough for astronomy. Galileo improved the design. His new design enables the telescope to gain enough magnification for astronomical purposes.
