Kenyans love their bottle and bar gossip more than they do their football. Thats at least according to CECAFA secretary general Nicholas Musonye. A fuming Musonye said CECAFA is grappling with a 10 million shilling budget deficit thanks to a low spectator turnout.

  • i challenge all of you who claim to "love results", "watch arsenal" etc etc to think about the implications of doing just that and what that means. the truth is that we are obsessed with everything & anything that is foreign which is costing us in ways that you can't even imagine or would take a series of lectures to explain. a question for all of you: how come those players in Europe make a ridiculous amount of money while you make pennies to say the least? hint: the beer you drink.

  • Netx time you want bring such football is Kenya again, please ask Kenyans to come from the bars early; or close the bars. If they dont come, please follow them again.

  • Who said Kenyans must watch the games? Uganda and Tanzania are just bus trips away. Why didnt they come to watch their own playing if the love soccer than Kenya. Musonye is now drunk and is just from the bar; yet he thinks Kenyans have the time to waste watching low-grade football. Plus we watch what we love; we love results; not failures like the Kenyan team has been delivering lately. Resign if you are frustrated, idiot.

  • He is Kenyan. But even I wouldn't waste my money to go watch Harambee stars being beaten by Eritrea. Keep politics out of football and we will go back but for now, I would rather shout Man u oyeee.

  • Football is dead in Kenya. Musonye you and politicians have killed football in Kenya.

  • kenyans are smart now.We don't follow government controlled institutions like b4.We make our own choices. The poor turn up is a result of KFF and KPL and too much politicking,no matter how hard you deny thats the reality. We gossip and drink beer while watching arsenals and we can commit suicide as well.Thats how much we love soccer dude!

  • kweli yake lol

  • is this man kenyan?coz he clearly doesnt know his people.i think he is a camel.
