  • umm..let me think usc...like dwayne jarrett or something' lol

  • Nah he was the second receiving prospect behind only Calvin Johnson as far as I know... tell me who you thought was also better than Samardzija

  • lol top 5 pick? he would have been the 3rd receiver in the draft so definitely not in the top 5..im a huge notre dame fan though

  • That is true, but based on overall trends, NBA is 1st, MLB is 2nd & NFL is 3rd. MLB is currently in a "slump" because of the steroid scandal. NFL players have been complaining about the lack of endorsements. Some think it is because fans rarely see their faces. NFL players are now taking their helmets off more often on the sidelines to address this issue (last 3-5 years). NFL players are the most aggressive in seeking endoresments b/c of short careers and lack of guaranteed $.

  • peyton manning has way more endorsements then helton and that carries on long after your career.

  • Sure, if he went in the top 5, he would have gotten the 10 million guaranteed. However, that's still an "if" Even if he went in the top 5, across an entire career he would still make more money in MLB than NFL. Baseball careers are longer and contracts are 100% guaranteed money. Todd Helton makes more money in MLB than Peyton Manning in NFL. Both were quarterbacks at Tennessee.

  • How do you figure? He would of been a top-5 pick in the NFL draft had he not opted to play baseball

  • he chose the right path, im gonna miss him though, he was a stud at reciever

  • He got 10 million guaranteed fromt the Cubs. He wouldn't have gotten that from any NFL team.

  • He's a pitcher, he isn't supposed to be a good hitter.
