When I thought that country music was for yahoos, hillbillys, and ridge-runners (circa 1977), I was driving to work early one morning on a winding, mountain road when this song came on my AM car (1965 Chevy Belaire) radio. I nearly met my maker trying to dial it in as it faded and returned, due to the mountainous terrain. I have been, forever since, a devoted fan of Willie's. I'm glad this is here!

I saw Willie LIVE at Indian Ranch in Webster , Mass. , several years ago , what a performer . Even got him to sign a ball cap , one of my personal treasures !!! I was amazed , he's so short !!! But , again , what a voice --- he's a National Icon !!!!

There's a musician named JOHNNY FISHER somewhere in the Southern states who sounds exactly like Willie , sings like Willie and makes appearances impersonating Willie Nelson. Has anyone except for me seen him Live ? His traveling road show is / was called --- IS IT WILLIE ?

It's a fact, they don't make music like anymore. It's weird saying it but as you get older and you have different experiences, opinions, and changes, Willie Nelson seems to have a song for it, his music really is like a soundtrack to our lives. You won't understand or agree with or love all of his songs today but eventually there will be that year or month or hour in the day where you're just like "man this is it, I'm right where Willie was, I'm in 1977 living it!"

I first heard this song in 1979, riding in the car with Mother. It struck me as one of the best from one of the best, and has been a favorite of mine ever since.
