on another note.. nirvana frontman kurt cobain is said to have been inspired by the pixies.. so if CTE have been inspired by pixies and nirvana - I would call this .. like divine intervention.. tooo damn good.. seriously PIXIES were the awesomest band ever

people should shut up with the nirvana and pixies comparison.. seriously.. have you all no imagination.. that you can't think beyond a certain range of music..this is CAGE THE ELEPHANT.. I see a lot more than just nirvana and pixies.. I see a lot of bands in them..
they used a riff off shins.. so they are more likely like shins than nirvana.. so stfu .. they are something else.. and they are awesome.. and they have made a new sound

The fact is...there is minimal Nirvana in this song. If you listen to "Debaser" off of The Pixies' 'Doolittle"...it's all right there. While Nirvana were great in their own right, it's only after shaking their (admitted) Pixies debt that they became so good.
This is the best song The Pixies never wrote.
