Fanfare for the Common Man (1942)
Aaron Copland
Performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra
under Eugene Ormandy
This is my humble attempt to convey part of what Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man evokes in my own spirit.
I see turmoil and chaos, reflected by the bold but shaky strokes. I see a vast and diverse assembly of belief, represented in the spectrum of color. I see hope for humanity, shown in the white corners that reach with courage across a chasm of diveristy. And finally, I see the thing most common to man: a heart marred with sin.
May this interpretation serve as an aid to your own!
Thanks for watching.
tou've got to be kidding me do you really think that's creative at all?
