I don't understand why theism is automatically written off as fairytale because of religion. Yes, religion exists because of belief in a higher power but not the other way around. I, for one, do believe in some sort of omnipotent force, but am not a religious person by any means. Theism can stand alone without religion and that is one thing a lot of atheists don't realize.

@headbanger2510 Wow, you have no idea what you are talking about. A law and a hypothesis are entirely different things. A law has no explanatory power, it is simply a statement or a mathematical equation that represents a scientific principle. A theory on the other hand is the explanation of an observed natural phenomena that has been backed up by observations and testing. The word you were looking for is hypothesis. You probably should have done a quick Google search before posting.

A simple analogy of religion's LOLgic: "we don't understand how our computers work so therefore god created it"! Unfortunately, well-educated physicists, EE's, SE's, and CompE's understand the nuts and bolts of computers.
If you want to size this up to a cosmic scale, then we currently do NOT know what or who caused the big bang!!!!!!!! It's that simple, stupid fucking theists!!! UNDERSTAND NOW?

@NUTCASE71733 @KingOfTheKill10001 i wasn't taking a religious standpoint, the fairytales and bs refered to religion, not the big bang

@KingOfTheKill10001 gravity is a law, not a theory, look it up, so is evolution btw, it's actually called natural selection and adaptation, which contrary to popular belief is not a theory, but a proven fact, which is equvalent to a law in physics. The big bang on the other hand is just a theory, it's speculative and it's not been proven, it might be a fact, but we don't know yet, ok? I don't believe in god either fyi and thus i don't take things for granted

@headbanger2510 Like gravity is only a theory? I'm sure this has been covered I don't know A MILLION TIMES.

Parallel universes and higher dimensions use to be categorized as sci-fi; not anymore. Quantum Entanglements and the recent mathematical theory i.e. M-theory suggests that there may be an infinite number of universes floating in an 11 dimensional multiverse. I agree that it's not factual however I still regard it as a scientific hypothesis. God on the other hand is a mysterious stopgap that proves nothing. The 5th watcher is fucking retarded.

Buddhism is not really a religion. It's a philosophy.

@NUTCASE71733 Not in all cases. Take Newton for instance, his theories didn't weigh shit until he proved most of them. He had SOME religious research, but none of it was necessary. I'm ranting and digressing. Facts help theories very much, and in some cases, outweight theories.

Theories outweigh facts.
This is your logic, jocomat9. "God is real, i know he is." "How?" "Because i know"
See how stupid that is?
