haha, thats my cousin. joes my dads cousin, and scott was brought in to the NHL as a fighter so obviously he has some fighting skills. I'd like to see you try and throw half the punches he throws in the amount of time and still remain balance on ice.

THAT'S MY UNCLE!!!!!!! Joe's my cousin!

if any reason u consider thornton a good fighter is that he swings pretty damn fast for most hockey player and the only fights he does win are due to the other player sucks or thornton got a realy lucky shot in
-
Nigelxmman, you couldnt say that to Thornthons face...Atleast hes stronger then you?:P
Scott Thornton was the best in your opinion? He never fought anyone of any credit. He'd have gotten his ass whipped by fighters like Joey Kocur, Bob Probert, Tony Twist, Rob Ray, Stu Grimson, or any other league heavyweights of his time.
Instead... Thornton chose to build up a reputation as a badass fighter by beating up on weak fighters and pests.

so u mean Jody Shelley, Marty Mcsorley, Donald Brashear, Sandy McCarthy, Paul Laus, Eric Cairns, Stu Grimson, Wade Belak, Zdeno Chara, Matt Johnson, George Parros, Wade Brookbank. Are this guys not tough enough??????????????
and he did fight one of your names Stu Grimson.
So i wouldnt say he was a chicken who fight bad fighters
