I've never ever heard he did that in the 23 years of studying his life. Are you sure he wasn't miming a pentagram or some kaballah symbol? He was heavily into magick and symbolism during his coke fuelled days. I'm not saying he wouldn't have mimed a swastika because he was pretty much suffering temporary insanity, but I think he he probably didn't.

The Swastika is a very old symbol (found a lot in Hinduism/Buddhism too)

David is NOT a Nazi sympathiser - never was - But he played about with it in the presentation of his music... I think he'd agree that far.

Anyway - At Wembley he had his back turned & brings his arms up in "mime" or the shape half/ two arms of the swastika.

The other two 'arms' are implied of course (hence it being a mime)... there are photographs of it, but you need to look twice to get it, it was very artful !!

David is a what? You losers who even entertain that horseshit, have the same for your tiny, little brains.
As David always said 'Every man dies, but not every man ever really live'....
Think about that one you fucked up ,paranoid war mongers...I met him twice, you havent and never will.
Now back to your Frau's basement where you losers live.

So was he trying to make some kind of ironic statement about the political situation in England? I haven't read the stuff he said (that Sileah refers to in her comment). I know he was very whacked out on coke at this time. Was he trying (successfully or not) to be political or was he just a little psychotic?

What a wank re: "omg was he doing a nazi salute" etc. ... WHO CARES!!! His history of adventurous and daring self expression, his relations with people of all colours and persuasions shows he is a very very progressive person. end of story.

And even if he was a nazi ... or jewish, or gay, or a a pygmy, or a leprechaun ... so what?!? The music is brilliant; that's all that matters here.
