Okay, this has to be my first 1080p video.
I remember a while a go while I was looking for stuff pertaining to debug stuff in all Grandia games that something in Japanese caught my eye. An action replay code for Grandia 3's debugger. I really wanted to mess around with whatever it unlocked, but I never really bothered until I started doing these videos again.
I got the codes for both debugs from this website:
http://mutuki1406.hp.infoseek.co.jp/code/grandia3.html
The codes that you're looking for are:
Debug
3CBAD418 1456E7A6
I get the Debug menu, press SELECT
Hold down the R2 move debug dash (speed it up too fast and should not be combined.) (L2 move up and down the right stick in the air with no collision detection).(When the turn came to stand around with no possible collision while holding L1 L2 then press the enemy destroyed, please look for yourself)
Debug (true)
3CB809D0 1456E7A6
(Please work with all 2 Con)
As you can see, besides the code part, I couldn't really figure out how to make everything work properly. So this explains why the video is so short - because I just couldn't find everything there is to see while recording the video. I did see debug stuff appear for in game cutscenes, but I'm saving that for part 2 (if there is a part 2). Basically what you can do with these two codes is this:
1.) Access an ingame menu of some sorts that allows you to buy stuff, save anywhere, etc. Nothing that can help you cheat though...
2.) Press L2 while using the right analog stick to "noclip" up and down
3.) Press R2 while moving to run really fast (useful!)
4.) Press select on the second controller while battling to access the battle debugger (YES A BATTLE DEBUG YAY), pressing start will actually PAUSE the god damn battle (YAY)
5.) View misc debug crap during cutscenes
Supposedly, you can access a "Field" debugger which allows you to change maps. I haven't figured that out, so feel free to help me.
Now for those with PCSX2, you're in luck. I already made a "cheat/patch" file for you to use so you can use the debug stuff on an emulator.

Now about the recording methods, horrible - but might be affective. What I did was record using GSDX's built in video recorder using the XVID codec AS IT WAS RECORDING which basically cut my framerate to about 5fps. Then after I was done, I had to piece together the audio and video so that you get what you see here in Virtualdub. Luckily though, it's already considered as converted so once that was done, I just had to upload it onto Youtube and there we go! Hopefully it's 1080p this time (I recorded it at 1920x1080, GOD DAMN)! Also, there's no lag anywhere in the video. :)
I might get to the second part once I mess around with this debug some more, but for right now, enjoy what there is.
