@KitKat1395 It is benefitting the whole area, not just Trump. Yes he will benefit from it, but that is the whole point of business. If he didnt benefit from it then it would not be a suitable business adventure. If the area is a piece of crap then why yes buy it, and make it an area that attracts tourist, professional touraments that are covered by major tv companions which in turn willshow off scotland to more people creating more tourism and more money to the economy,

@KitKat1395 People like Forbes are just there to make a fuss and be a stubbering old man. His land is disgusting and worthless, yet here comes a man who eill change that but no no, always someone who has to complain. I bet you are also against the bypass aswell, once again causing the city and shire to lose out on millions of pounds and causing the majority of people grief.

@22muzzer As for partt time jobs, most uni or college folk are needing summer part time jobs anyway when they are at home for the holidays so this would be great to help them make an income, which can be taxed, more council money, and then spend their wages on nights out, clothes etc, which all brings more money to the area. Everyone benefits from this and you can not say that people don't.

@KitKat1395 The snow here is not as bad as you make it out to be and last about 2 months. There are going to be more jobs gained by this project than just part time jobs. Companies that are surveying, draughting, building the project will be making millions which can be used to hire and train up new employees to expand their businesses.

@22muzzer My point being its protected by a society so why the heck should one money-grabbing-profitting-for-
himself American be allowed to buy it up for his own benefit? I'm sorry, but I'm not allowed to force you out of your home so I can build a millionaire swimming pool... Does anyone give a damn anymore? Or can I too become a selfish fat cat and purchase mountains in the North West Highlands and then "mow" them down and turn them into theme parks? It's EXACTLY the same idea. -
@22muzzer Idiot, i HAVE a part time job -_- In a shop as well... And of course it will be seasonal... have you not even seen the weather in Northern Scotland? ESPECIALLY on the coasts? This IS the north where we get snow up to our knees/waist unlike the south of the Uk which gets a dusting (and panics like mad). You can't have a golf course open all year up here. And if you research Trump's other projects, you'll find they're not all that great either. But anyway, you've missed my point so... :P

@KitKat1395 Did you really just say how is part time jobs going to help anyone? The jobs will not all be seasonal and part time, and even if they are a job is a job. It will get some people off the dole, which benefits the council. if you think part time jobs are so unhelpful, why dont you go voice your opinion about that at asda, tesco and every other shop. As for destroying nature, why don't you have a go at Forbes for making that area a tip, surely how he has left it is far worse.
-
@charlrogers1990 I read somewhere that the golf course would only be open to the elite, as in those who could afford a lot of money for it... Correct me if I'm wrong, but how the hell is that benefiting Britain, or indeed Scotland? (what next - they'll probably try and build golf courses across the mountains in the north west...)
-
@22muzzer ...You don't know what I mean. I hate that we, as humans, feel the need to destroy nature so that some people at the top can get more money in their pockets. What use is seasonal, part-time jobs for skilless workers? It's not going to help them at all. If humanity keeps destroying nature as we are currently, we'll only destroy ourselves. We aren't the only species on the planet, we certainly aren't the most important. Money is a man-made thing. Shouldn't be used as an excuse to destro

@KitKat1395 if you feel that way about people detroying landscapes then go buy a tent, and move into the forest, since landscape has been destroyed so that your shops, house, school etc could be built.
It's good that a few good people are left willing to stand up to developers as unprincipled as Trump.
