Coach Nick shows you key plays in the fourth quarter and how they led to the Knicks loss to the Celtics. Without Stat for the 2nd half, the Knicks were still knocking on the door, which should cause a lot of concern for the Celtics.

  • i don't really blame D'Antoni on the last play. Comon it obvious that you have to foul, the players should've knew that. Everybody watching the game knew it. I'm sure being the coach taht D'Antoni is, he already told his playerse but the coach could only do so much

  • @FreshZerglings Fair enough... The buck's gotta stop somewhere, though...

  • @bballbreakdown It has nothing to do with Dantoni, Melo had 5 fouls, and he needed someone else to take the foul seeing as how Melo had the hot hand that game, if he took the foul on west the knicks would have been without their big 3 for a last second position, so he wavers a lil for someone to catch up and take the foul. The timeout was a big problem and something ive noticed dantoni leaves the knicks without many times in close games.

  • @projectpaki OK - but what good is Melo saving his 6th foul if they lose because the clock runs out??

  • I'm a big celtics fan but you make a bad point at the end. I think every basketball player who played in high school and higher levels knows you have to foul right there. The coach should not have to tell you to foul right there. bad point. D'antoni is a bad coach though, but not his fault there.

  • @kevinomalley12 Well, IF D'Antoni told everyone to foul, and Melo wasn't paying attention, I guess you can't fault the coach. But I'd imagine the assistants and bench guys would've said it a few times, made sure everyone was paying attention. I would love to see footage of their huddle to see if Melo was actually listening...

  • @grasd2 OK - I just checked. Melo had 5 fouls, so of course he couldn't foul. D'Antoni is even worse than I thought. He should've subbed Melo out, put someone in just to foul, then subbed him back in so he could win it/tie it on the offensive end!!!

  • 7:00 D'Antoni shouldn't have to tell a 7 year veteran to foul with 4 seconds left when down by 1. That's something a middle school player should know. D'Antoni isn't a great coach by any means but it doesn't help that his best player is a moron

  • @bballbreakdown what if they need him for a possible overtime?

  • jeffries shoulda just put that last shot up instead of passing..

  • @bballbreakdown The year they went 24-58 Pierce only played in 47 games and started in 46. Their record with Pierce was 20-27, still not very good but not as bad as the rest of the season. Any team missing it's best player is going to struggle, especially one with a mediocre supporting cast (Rondo and Jefferson hadn't really developed yet). Pat Riley is considered to be one of the best coaches ever but look at the 07-08 Heat.

  • Thanks Nick, I've been saying this forever.. FIRE D'ANTONI
