Using a windscreen wiper motor as a servo motor and an Arduino driving a MOSFET H bridge I made a very cheap and powerful servo motor.
I am currently using the error signal fed back into the H bridge for positional control and it works reasonably well.
The next step in the project is to implement a PID feedback control. Essentially I currently have P but I need to add I and D to increase accuracy and reduce overshoot etc.
first step to building an iron-man suite. nice work!

Nice job, Are you useing PWM just like the traditional Servo motors (remote controlled cars etc) and a processor or are you using a op-amp as a comparitor between the two pots?
Either way its a nice project.

Very nice.
High torque I would imagine.
