Our marathon weekend at the Blitzen Agility trial at IKC. Due to showing in conformation on Friday and the benching rules on Saturday and Sunday, my days were very long. My first runs on Friday & Saturday weren't until 4:00pm, our second runs were at 6:00pm (and I had to be at the show at 9:00am each day). On Sunday we wrapped up a little earlier.
And then there was the matter of the carpet. It had been slick in years past but this was worse than usual. Rainey was a smart girl and did not try to kill herself to make her weave pole entries or take a jump (she never goes around a jump unless she couldn't safely take it). Between the surface, the crowds and the overall running of the show (not by Blitzen but by IKC), this may be the last time I enter any dog in any event there unless there are some serious changes made. Kind of sad since I have been entered in these shows in one event or another for the past 15 years.
Stilll great runs even under bad conditions. I can't even believe the girls layed down at all on that darn prickly table. Oh, and I have matching bruises from rolling the wire crates down the poopy ramp : )

That damn table! :(

What you don't know about the table is that they rubber coated it and put the adhesive coating on it that made it sharp (most clubs that have had rubberized tables have not put the coating on it). It hurt to the touch and it REALLY hurt falling on it!
