@kendrickevans301 Yes my Navi has open differentials.. But when having the Traction control on, it will transfer the power to the wheel that has power.. The traction control uses the brake pressure to slow/stop the wheel without traction & then it transfers the power to the wheel that has traction.. If you watch he review of the 2003 Expetition, they show it having 3 wheels on rollers & 1 with traction & it drives right over the stop..

@1984SVOstang And also if you did have it on just wheels at one time and it came out, you might have a limited slip diff in the rear, which transfer MOST of the power to the wheels with traction, not all....some still goes to the wheel with lost traction while most of it goes to the wheels with traction which gets you out, it's usually a 80/20, or 75/25 torque split, the bigger number going to the wheel with the most traction

@1984SVOstang all advance trac is is a stability control system, helps keep you on the road....it has nothing to do with the 4wd system.....it stabilizes the suv on the road via sending brake pressure and sending power to the obvious wheel. You can have all the gadgets in the world but the final drive is the differentials and if you have single traction (open) differentials, which this navigator obviously does, it wont mean a thing. That's why it did not transfer power to the wheels with tractio

@kendrickevans301 No totally true, it has Advance-trac and it does transfer the power, but at this time I had it switched off.. I have had this truck tetering on just 2 wheels & it pulled right out of all the off camber things that I but it through..

where you using high or lo
-
@elputo809 thats because it has open differentials, which transfers power to the wheels with least resistance
-
it wasn't transferring enough traction to the whiles with with the most grip ..
I think in my Navigator when I turn on 4low, it gives a message in the info system that the advance-trac is turned off when in 4low.

@georgiawilds That is true, but mine still had the traction control active in 4-Low..
