That's what I was afraid of lol... I doubt the tune shop that I bought the car from would or even could put me in touch with the prev owner, so Guess I'm in the dark until I start to put all that stuff back on the car LOL

Looks exactly like mines. Sounds really good. Does it make 490 whp? From heads/cam/ headers. If so those are some nice numbers.

@camarosam It is hard to say for sure but around 380 HP at the crank should be ballpark.

That sewing machine sound is from the cam? I'm not the first owner of my car, and I've been tryin to figure out if the prev owner put a bigger cam in or not... Mine makes a similar sound

The cam is the major contributor because of the higher lift. The rest of the valve train and the headers which have a thinner wall than the stock manifold also increase the sound.

I see. The sound coming from my drivetrain isn't as loud as yours, and I do know that factory manifolds were reinstalled before sale to me, (had LTs before, CA smog regs don't allow) so that the car would pass smog. That would mean that IF the cam is not stock, it would have to be a mild lift, LS6 or smaller correct? Possibly GM Hotcam? Just guessing anyway, I just don't know too much about it yet...

It would have to be a VERY mild cam to pass emmissions in CA but I suppose it is possible. Problem is you can't find out without pulling the cam or getting info from whoever put it in there.
