Easy To Love By Susannah McCorkle

Susannah McCorkle was an American jazz singer much admired for her direct, unadorned singing style and quiet intensity. She was the youngest singer ever to have been recorded by the Smithsonian Institution in its popular music series. She played Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher and Alice Tully Halls five times and Carnegie Hall three times. She was the featured soloist with Skitch Henderson and the 80-piece New York Pops in a concert of Brazilian music. She also had several short stories published in Mademoiselle and Cosmopolitan Magazine. This selection is from her album The Songs Of Cole Porter.

Absolutely marvelous true jazz singer. Swings so well, interprets lyrics impeccably. Nice intonation and phrasing is dynamite. Miss her being on the planet. RIP, Susannah, you are still singing.

Suzannah was my all time FAVORITE vocalist and I was so very sad when she took her own life. I continue to miss her.
