Nine-man Inter Milan extended its lead at the top of Serie A to nine points with a 2-0 victory over its Milan rivals Sunday.

Inter started the game really well with Sneijder bossing the game. Sneijder shaved the post with a superb long-range swerveshot in the opening seconds and went close on another effort a few minutes later.

Then after 10 minutes, Inter got the goal there play deserved and it was Diego Milito scoring his 13th goal in Serie A this season.

As expected Inters boss Jose Mourinho was very pleased with his teams performance in the Milan Derby..

We won tonight, Inter played a spectacular game from every point of view. From the first minute you could see we were the stronger team. We won, but we leave here with a strange taste. It was a strange match where my players were fantastic and Milan played their game. Theres nothing else to say.
