@asshatt1 I don't think it was a subliminal message at 6 seconds. As someone who remembers what actual movie film is like.......when they were transfering it over to video tape it probably got damaged and a number of frames got burnt of crinkled and they had to cut them out and patch the tape back together without those frames. Thus the blip of the remaining good frames

@ThomasMetal75 what they probably did....if they actually did it at all was to send out a survey in the mail with like 3 questions on it and promise the doc a free carton for taking part in the survey.

@ThomasMetal75 Good question! There probably was no "national survey". It was all made up and with no high speed communications like the internet, nobody thought to question these "statistics" (or even cared). It's like that Floffo ad with Mike Wallace interviewing that lady in Indiana. In a 1991 interview with Rick Dees, Mike Wallace admitted that the ad was phony. That interview did not take place in Indiana as the ad claimed.

What kind of national survey asks doctors what brand of cigarette they smoke, let alone if they smoke?!? I smoke cigars and pipes occasionally, but this weird.
