a) Privacy is entirely the wrong word, bodily autonomy better describes the issue at the heart of the abortion debate
b) Bodily autonomy is pretty much constitutionally guaranteed, in terms of freedom to do this and that. However it conflicts with laws against murder. Now if you don't think a fetus is a human being then abortion's fine any day. But if you do, then you find yourself in an awkward position asking which law trumps which (no pun intended), but usually it goes against abortion

@politicalarticles I knew that would piss you off.

@epiultra Your moral views are your own, and I respect them. But your conception of what "privacy" means is not the correct one when you hear the term "right to privacy" in the legal context. Once again, I speak on this issue from a purely legal perspective, without any discussion of God or morality. In this video, or whenever you hear the term "right to privacy", I'm just letting you know, that your conception of it is not what they are speaking of.

all men are CREATED equal, the first settlers to America were missionaries to bring the Gospel here, but you probably wont find that in a public school text book since they want us to forget our history in order to change our future. and privacy is intimate, so murder of a baby is intimate?? where's the baby's "privacy" was it privacy to kill Jews in camps since it was out of public view? like it or not,all will answer to God for their sins and whether or not they accepted Jesus.
A woman's liberal courts granted 'right' to not be pregnant, cannot possibly supersede the child's true right, to not be killed. FACT: Each and every legal surgical abortion in America today, stops a beating heart. What is the most selfish act a woman could ever perform? 1) Taking her own life. 2) Taking the life of her own child. If you are 'pro' or in favor of a woman's 'right' to kill her children, then you are without question: Pro Death

she is implying you can't be against abortion and for privacy, not true.If someone kills another in the privacy of their own home are they not to be prosecuted because it was in their"private"home and the law would interfere with their"right to privacy."I believe in privacy but it is no private matter to take the life of another.God made each individual in the womb and thus all human life is sacred. They are unborn, not unhuman. If they're not human than what does an abortion prevent from existing?

@epiultra -- God doesn't exist. He never did . . . he never will. The concept of God is a fairy tale, a scam -- so that suckers like you can be reigned in and controlled. The belief that some imaginary spook living in a paradise in the sky will deposit you in some fiery pit if you abort an unwanted baby is pure baloney!

@CpsLock3 -- It seems like this GOD, whoever he/she is loves only a portion of the world. If he/she were so powerful and loved everyone equally -- there would be no wars, no famine, no racism -- and most important no terroristic Republicans .....and Mr. 'I Slaughtered 1 million Iraqis' Bush would note be sitting in Dallas sipping the best wine!
