I recall in the movie Dirty Harry said he used less grains in the bullets so it was more like a .357 Magnum for easier control. My Father had a .44 and I watched him shoot an old water heater with it where it actually lifted the water heater off the ground LOL I don't think any real police force would allow such a powerful weapon to be used for fear of going through walls ect.

Today the cops would have a higher capacity pistol and they would have put 11 holes in him just for laying there shot up next to a gun. If you so much as make a funny move the cops fill you with holes like a cullender. You don't even have to be armed. The cop just has to fear that you might be. Cops on the screen are nicer than real cops.
