This is a brilliant swing. I recognised it years a go with Lonard and Pampling, but didn't know about Gary Edwin. I tried to emulate it but without consistency. Just recently I took a lesson for the first time in over 10 years and immediately recognised this swing that the pro was teaching.
In 1 month since I have taken 3 shots off my handicap and I am consistently hitting straight and about 10m longer.
It's certainly not lazy. It's simpler in some ways but not that easy to get right. When you do the ball gets crushed and goes straight. If you take Tiger who while possibly the best ever and realise that he still has swing faults, yet when he needs to make a shot it's often his short, punchy arm swing, not the long and wide one that gets him into all the trouble. It's not for everyone but you wouldn't know unless you try...
Personally I can not swing like that, I like the long arcing swing style of a Tiger Woods or Ernie Els. I just feel like I'm generating more power and I'm a lot more confident, as any golfer knows confidence is what scores. But hey if it works for people than more power to them :D

I agree with bharlan2002
I definitely feel more powerful with a left sided swing but it everyone's different
